2430. Alexander KNIGHT
Savage - Alexander, Ipswich 1635, had kept an inn at Chelmsford, Eng. says VINCENT in his Hist. of the Pequot War. Perhaps we may be justif. in think. he came in the Defense, but could not obtain license to cmb. being a subsidy man; we kn. at least, that in that sh. that yr. came from London, Sarah K. aged 50; and Dorothy, 30, of wh. one might be w. and the other sis. or d.

2568. Christopher JACKSON
There is extracted record of a John JACKSON s. of Christopher b. 6 Jan 1602 and perhaps chr. 6 Jun 1602 (unless one of those mos. is misread), but since it is before mar., it will not be included here until evid. is found that it is the same Christopher (there was at least one more in London at the same time).
2569. Susan JOHNSON
IGI-all excp death Another IGI record gives birth as 13 Mar 1579, but does not give mother.
2572. John BAKER
Savage - John, Ipswich 1634, freem. 14 May of that yr. perhaps, is in later yrs. ment. in the town rec. with prefix of respect; yet so frequent is the concur. of this name of bapt. with the surname, as to justify coubt, whether that day's freem. were not John, ment. by FROTHINGHAM, 80, as com. to Charlestown 1630, and rem 1637, or that John, of wh. WINTHR. II 29, tells, how he rem. from Boston to Newbury, grew rich too fast, went thence to York, and back with contrition to B. Assignm. of resid. becomes especially diffic. in such cases, as in the freem. of 2 Jun 1641, when twice John BAKER is count. and after minute comparis. of the incid. belong. to the names above and below each John, a confid. conject may be offer. that one was of Ipswich, perhaps he wh. was b. at Norwich, Co. Norf. a grocer, that came 1637, aged 39, to Boston, in the Rose of Yarmouth, with Eliz. his w. 31, three ch. Eliz. John, and Thomas, four serv. Mercy, and Ann ALEXARSON, aged 24, and 20, respectiv. Bridget BULL, 32; and Samuel AYERs or ACRES, 14, as certif. copy of rec. from her Majesty's Remembrencer Office inst. me. For the other, Charlestown is entitl. unless better claim. appear, for he had, by w. Rebecca, there bapt. Sarah, 13 Sep 1640, maybe the John, wh. rem. 1642 to Dover, and was rep. 1650
2582. Edmund FARRINGTON
In AF family has 19 children with many possible duplicates. Pending further investigation, duplicates here have been eliminated, and a Thomas b. long before the marraige (also not ment. by Savage).
In AF Caldwell FARRINGTON and Ann FRENCH are given as parents of Edmund, but this must be wrong (unless Savage is totally wrong). They are from London (extracted mar. rec.) and had their Edmund about 40 years later.
Savage - Edmund, Lynn, from Olney in Bucks, came in the Hopewell, Capt. Bundocke, 1635, aged 47, with w. Eliz., 49 and ch. Sarah 14, Mathew 12; John, 11; and Eliz. 8; was of the first project. of sett. on L.I. 1640, perhaps went thither, but came back in few yrs. and d. 20 Jan 1671.

2598. Robert Rose
Savage - Robert, Wethersfield 1639, but he went it is thought, from Watertown, came in the Francis from Ipswich, Co. Suff'k. 1634, aged 40, with w. Margery, 40, and ch. John, 15; Robert, 15; Eliz. 13; Mary, 11; Samuel, 9; Sarah, 7; Daniel, 3; and Dorcas, 2; was constable 1640; rep. 1641, 2, and 3; rem. bef. 1648 to Stratford, where the list of freem. 1669 bears his name, unless it be of his s. Robert, wh. is more prob. for one R. (James, as Mr. WHITMORE, in Geneal.Reg.XIII.301, says), d. at Branford, leav. good est. in 1664 or 5; and I judge the younger was among early sett. at Easthampton, L.I. 1650.
