312. Johann Theis SCHNUCH

Info. found in The Palatine Families of NY and NJ - Hank Jones p. 250 Name also spelled Schnook, Schnug, Snoke, Snook, Snuck HJ states: "As noted in my book with Annette K. Burgert Westerwald to America, this family originated in teh WEsterwald at 5418 Nordhofen (35 km. w. of Loehnberg; Chbks. begin 1659, but gaps). This is a very complex and difficult family to sort out, in part due to the many Schnuchs in various villages in teh parish of Nordhofen, and also because the registers there often omit the names of the mothers in bpt. entries. This particular family who ended up in Dutchess and Columbia Counties, NY descends from Johann Theis Schnuch of Vielbach. After his death Maria Magdalena remained in the village, as she sp. a child of Joh. Henrich Schnug, the Synodschoeffe at Vilbach, as wid/o Johann Theiss Schnug in 1732 at Nordhofen. Joh. Theiss Schnug's widow of Vielbach did 7 1/2 days work for the authorities on a roll dated in the early 1730's (File #31-3-1) in Fuerstl. Wied ARchiv). Maria Mag., surviving wid/o Nicolaas Snock, with Anna Maria and Johan Antony Snock of Noorthoven in Graf. Niwit, joined the NY City REf. Church 30 Nov 1736; however, she joined the same church again in 1747 as Maria Magdalena, wid//o Johan Tysse Snoek." In More Palatine Families, Henry Jones, 973W2jo

323. Sarah PRENTICE

Other IGI records give birth dates 1679, 23 Nov 1683, and 1686

324. Josiah ROGERS

Perhaps had 2nd wife Martha with other children, or another family Josiah Rogers/Martha were slightly later in the same place (The latter is more likely since the two families overlap somewhat) A rec. for child Eunice ROGERS b. 10 Jul 1739 in Branford is given in IGI92 (not in IGI88), and is not included here because of unlikely 10 yr gap with previous child and age(47) of mother when born.

325. Lydia GOODSELL

Another IGI rec gives birth place as Branford, New Haven, CT

326. David BYINGTON

Surname also given as BOYN.

Birth and parents from IGI88. Close match with father of Eunice

368. Isaac HARDY

Marr: IGI88 wife's name given as Debora

Only two Isaacs found in IGI92 which are possb. as James' father, both with problems. One chr. 4 May 1676 at St. Andrew, Norwich, Norfolk, Eng. would be only 14 when married. The other (spelled Isaake) given here seems almost too old, and apparently married Mary MITCHELLS in 1669 (as 1st wife, if this one is indeed John's father)
